Just over three-quarters of respondents in a new Harris Poll say they think Internet-based businesses like Google and Facebook have too much control over computer users' personal information, and know too much about each individual's browsing habits. These concerns span age, gender, and income brackets. Seventy-four-percent of the 18 to 34 year olds are becoming worried about the power of some online companies, along with 79-percent of those 55 and older. Nearly 80-percent of the women and 74-percent of the men hold these concerns, along with 73-percent of those making less than 35-thousand-dollars a year and 80-percent of those with annual incomes of more than 75-thousand. However, the public is leaning against imposing government regulations on online companies. While 36-percent say they would support such a move, 46-percent are against it.
