ArtPrize artist Lou Rodriguez's "I Used to be an Octopus" is a 20 foot dragon at Calder Plaza. One of the dragon's claws also works as a seat. Rodriguez is encouraging visitors to have a seat and take a selfie.

The piece was originally designed intended to be an octopus, but Rodriguez adjusted his work to create the dragon. He explains why he made the change, what materials he used to make the dragon, and more.

This is Rodriguez's fifth time in ArtPrize. He is best known for "A Dragon for Jonas" which finished in the Top 25 at ArtPrize 2010.
