Here we are in the "dog days" of summer and National Dog Day is coming up, so why not get out and celebrate with your pup?

We have 19 different events around the area this weekend. There will be music, carnivals, festivals, cars, movies, beer, surfing, and even a giant slip-n-slide.

It's the last month of summer, but that doesn't mean fewer fairs and festivals. In the next few weeks, there are 22 different events in the West Michigan area.

When you think of Windmill Island in Holland, what do you think of? Tulips, of course. Thousands and thousands of beautiful tulips. But they only bloom in the spring, just in time for the Tulip Festival. So, after that, there is nothing to see except for the historic Windmill, right? Not on you life.

Next week, July 24-30, Windmill Island Gardens will celebrate Peak Week, the period of summer when the gardens are at the height of their beauty! The week will be filled with flowers and fun for all ages. As an added incentive to enjoy the gardens during Peak Week, an accompanying child can enter for free with every purchase of an adult ticket!
