It's the first weekend of August and we have no shortage of events. We have festivals and pageants, food trucks, concerts, magic, movies, insane inflatables, and bung hammers...just to name a few!
It’s going to be a hot weekend. We have several activities, both inside and outside for you. There are musicals, concerts, baseball (you can even take your dog!), food, beach volleyball, bugs, the world’s largest dog wash, and of course Fireworks!
It’s the first weekend of Summer! There are a lot of events to help you get in some physical activity -- biking, walking, yoga, and running. There is also a record and CD show, events at the zoo, a water festival, a Harry Potter festival and Sunday brunch, along with some fundraisers.
Not only is it the Festival of the Arts in downtown Grand Rapids this weekend, but there are also a couple of concerts and plays, two different runs, a free dental clinic, a reptile & exotic pet show, and a chance to adopt a dog.
Tulip Time continues in Holland, we will have a gathering of Food Trucks in two different locations, there will be Baseball Games, The Symphony will perform, it’s the Fifth Third River Bank Run, there are tiny trees, two events at dog parks, and the biggest event -- Mother’s Day on Sunday.
It's cottages, basketball, prom dresses, maple syrup, Easter egg hunts (for kids and dogs), records & CDs, bunnies, bands, and fowling...all wrapped up into one weekend!
It's the first official weekend of summer!
We have a lot of concerts on the list this weekend. Also a couple of activities you could do with the dog. There is Running, Beer, BBQ, Bourbon, Water, Guns, Knives, and Baseball. I'd say there is something on the schedule for just about everybody!
UPDATE 2:20 PM: According to WZZM-13, Police say the body found on the west side of the Grand River, north of Ann Street and near northbound U.S. 131. is that of a 58 year-old -homeless man.
Neighbors tell WZZM that the park used to be known as Ann Street Park. They also reported recently seeing homeless people camping at the park and called police about the issue.

This is a fun family event that children of all ages will thoroughly enjoy. There's music, colorful costumes, crafts, dancing, and food! It's all a part of the 33rd Annual Homecoming Of The Three Fires Traditional Pow Wow!
