Each year, between 25,000 and 57,000 people from several states and even foreign countries have come to the walk the Mackinac Bridge. This year the Annual Bridge Walk has been cancelled.
As our state developed from the 1600s to the present day, many small towns and villages were abandoned and left to be reclaimed by nature. We now refer to many of these places as Michigan Ghost Towns and you can still find remains of old buildings, roads, railways, and ports at the original locations.

Each year, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources generates preliminary estimates of the firearm deer harvest shortly after the season closes.
The harvest appears to have decreased in the Upper Peninsula and increased in the Lower Peninsula.
