It’s often said laughter is the best medicine. Unfortunately for many, laughter simply isn’t enough. So for the fourth year in a row, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids (GCGR) and LaughFest are partnering with Michigan Blood and Blue Care Network to host blood drives during LaughFest. The drives will be held Monday, February 29 and Thursday, March 3.

The sixth annual LaughFest is set in March, 2016 from the 10th to the 20th. eleven days of laughter and fun to support Gilda's Club.
In anticipation of the event, they just announced that they are now accepting sign ups for its Community Showcases, 5k FUNderwear Run, and LaughFest Friends memberships.

TODAY, Nov. 11 at 7:30 a.m. Gilda’s LaughFest, the nation’s first ever community-wide festival of laughter, will announce headlining artists performing at the 2015 10-day festival, which runs March 5 - 15. This morning's event is free and open to the public.

Lily Tomlin, a Michigan native, is one of the nation's foremost comediennes, with an extraordinarily broad entertainment career spanning television, movies, theater, animation and stand-up comedy.
She never before appeared in Grand Rapids, but will in Broadway Grand Rapids' LaughFest performance on March 10.
