More Road Closures This Weekend

The mural that overlooks I-196 and the medical mile has been there for almost 40 years. Now it is being destroyed by vandals with cans of spray paint.

Getting anywhere quickly on US-131 through Grand Rapids this weekend may be close to impossible. Double lane closures for road work will be in place on Saturday and Sunday.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

On Friday, April 9th, 2021 at 9 pm, Eastbound I-196 will be completely shut down at US-131. This shut down will be in effect through July.
