The restaurant chain sold for $17.5 million. While no changes were announced in the sale announcement, the new owners hope to build a "unique, best-in-class customer experience."

The parent company for HopCat, Stella's Lounge, and the Grand Rapids Brewing Company -- BarFly Ventures -- filed for bankruptcy restructuring on Wednesday morning.

They won't be open for take-out or delivery, either.
