The annual Collegiate Vocal Competition of Opera Grand Rapids has been extremely competitive.  A record number of students entered the Vocal Competition and only nine students though advanced to the Final Round Concert, slated for Sunday, April 14, at the Betty Van Andel Opera Center.

Grand Rapids Police are on the hunt for two men who are being sought in connection with two separate armed robberies near the main campus of Grand Rapids Community College on Wednesday evening. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

This weekend, Grand Rapids will be filled with runners. The Fifth Third Riverbank Run will pretty much take over downtown Grand Rapids during the morning and afternoon. But, just a couple of miles away on the campus of Aquinas College, a quiet little Walk will take place at the same time, and it is equally important.

When you think about food pantries and soup kitchens you may not necessarily think about low income students.  Well, other people don't either, and that is why GRCC is opening up a food pantry for GRCC students.  We have interns that have worked here at the radio station over the years and remember them talking about their breakfast, lunch, and dinners consisting of peanut butter and jelly sandwic

Whoopi is one of the elite few who has won a Grammy, Academy Award, Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony.  WOW!  And she is going to be right here in Grand Rapids, March 9th at the GRCC Ford Fieldhouse.
