It's now, officially Summer!   The school year is finished and summer break has officially kicked off for kids in West Michigan.

It's the time of year when many kids pack up their bags, kiss their parents good-bye and head off to summer camp. Lucky for them, there are several camp options here in West Michigan.WZZM TV13 says one of those options is Camp Geneva in Holland.

"You can probably hear us from a mile away," jokes Kelsey Cratter from Camp Geneva," It's a great place for kids to let loose, be kids, and not worry about having structure and quiet."

Camp Geneva is a Christian-based camp that offers lots of outdoor activities for all different age-groups. It's also a place that is welcoming to all kids.

"At the end of the day, we always make sure they [campers] are loved and cared for and they always have a place here," says Cratter.

Another popular destination is YMCA's Camp Manitou-Lin, located near Middleville.  The goal at camp is to build relationships between the campers and counselors and engage kids in fun and educational activities.

"Once the kids get here, we want to immerse them in the outdoors, immerse them in group living," says Greg Dodd, Executive Director of Camp Manitou-Lin, "... we want to make sure they get the whole camp experience."

No matter what kind of activities your child enjoys, there is a summer camp for everyone.
