This week we are checking out two new movies coming out in theaters.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw

The first movie to check out this weekend is Spiral: From the Book of Saw, the next chapter in the Saw movie franchise.  This movie stars Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson and follows the two as they try to uncover who this new Jigsaw killer is.  And just like the original Saw movies, both Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson get caught up in a morbid game of cat and mouse.

Critics are giving Spiral: From the Book of Saw pretty bad reviews with Rotten Tomatoes scoring it a 46% and metacritic right on par with a 40/100.  You can see Spiral: From the Book of Saw right now in theaters.

Army of the Dead

Dave Bautista stars in this unique mashup of heist and horror that is like if Ocean's Eleven was set in the world of The Walking Dead.  A group of vigilantes plan a heist on a hidden vault in Las Vegas, only to find out that the world has been taken over by zombies after they emerge with the money.

Critics are actually enjoying Army of the Dead with Rotten Tomatoes scoring it a 76% and metacritic not that far behind with a 59/100.  You can check out Army of the Dead in theaters now or wait for it to come out on Netflix next Friday.
