If you're traveling to northern Michigan for Thanksgiving or have family coming down, heads up because Tuesday and Wednesday, the UP is expected to get a snow storm with a chance of strong winds and possibly heavy snow.

The National Weather Service in Marquette, on Sunday, November 24th, issued a "Special Weather Statement" warning of a snowstorm that will move from the Great Plains northeast into the UP with accumulating wet, heavy snow and possible blowing/drifting snow along Lake Superior, late Tuesday into late Wednesday morning.

As the tweet says the forecast is going to change, which means travel impacts from the storm won't be known until closer to the time, but there's a chance travel plans may need to be altered if you're leaving for the holiday early.
