Sneak Peek Of The Titanic Exhibit Coming To Grand Rapids
Maybe you've seen the romanic movie Titanic. Maybe you learned about Titanic in a history class. Well, this is exciting news! I was thrilled when the "Diana, A Celebration" exhibit visited the Grand Rapids Art Museum. But now more good news. Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition will be visiting The Grand Rapids Public Museum on Pearl Street in November of 2012. For those who don't know; the Titanic sunk in the North Atlantic on April 15, 1912 after colliding with an iceberg and resulted in the loss of over 1,500 lives. A White Star Employee on the Titanic was quoted as saying before the maiden journey, "God Himself Couldn't Sink The Titanic." Better be careful when you utter those kinds of challenges;)
I read where cities all over the country were vying to get this exhibit but we were one of the lucky ones. I found some cool pictures of a just a little of what we can expect to see (All Photos Courtesy of Oli Scarff/Getty Images.) This looks like it's going to be unbelievable!
