Earlier today, President Trump announced that he would be sending federal agents from the FBI, ATF, DEA, and other agencies to Chicago and Albuquerque to reduce the violence and unrest in the cities.

The move by the White House to send in federal agents is part of what President Trump is calling "Operation Legend" in honor of LeGend Taliferro, a slain 4-year-old boy from Kansas City.  Currently, 4 cities across the nation are part of "Operation Legend", Kansas City, Portland, and soon Chicago and Albuquerque.  President Trump has also threatened to send federal agents to many other cities, including Detroit.

So, the question becomes, should Grand Rapids seek federal assistance as well?  With Grand Rapids currently experiencing its worst homicide numbers in almost 30 years and protests and riots that have cost the city over $2.4 million, is it time for the feds?
