Seems That West Michigan Was A Very Romantic Place in 1949

Romance was in the air all over West Michigan in 1949. At least that's what Chevrolet said.

I stumbled upon some fantastic films, the 1949 Chevrolet travel series "Road to Romance," and this one featured West Michigan. What a classic it is.

Imagine touring around our West Michigan, the Holland Tulip Festival, resort areas up north, and more, on our beautiful 2-lane highways. Okay, all of our major roads were only 2-lane highways. The interstate, expressway system wasn't even considered until 1956, other than a parkway in Southern California.
