Now HEAR this! This Saturday, October 25 is an important day in Grand Rapids.

Throughout West Michigan, The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services and Quota Club will collect used hearing aids and refurbish them for people in West Michigan who have hearing loss and cannot afford to purchase aids.

Saturday is difference day, the largest national day of community service. For more than two decades, USA weekend and points of Light have joined together to serve and connect people within their communities to opportunities to serve and promote civic engagement.

Through make a difference day, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services and Quota are joining hundreds of other organizations around the country in community service helping to create a better world to live in.

So, this Saturday, October 25th, the West Michigan community project “Hear for Good” will be collecting hearing aids that are used, broken, or no longer in use. They will get them repaired and distribute them to those in our community who cannot afford them. The project will help those in need that fall through the cracks in terms of financial assistance. Insurance may not be an option for them, and specific funding sources require certain income levels.

I'm asking for your help to better a life by helping someone hear better this month and donate any hearing aids not currently being worn to someone who needs them.
