Salvation Army Needs Your Help With Hurricane Relief
Our part of the world is getting hit hard by Hurricanes. Harvey, Irma have brought death, damage and destruction to millions of people, and now Hurricane Maria is rampaging through Puerto Rico.
Is there something you can do? Yes, by helping the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army is currently supplying relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma (Southeastern US, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands), and waiting until Hurricane Maria finally moves on to assess and ramp up those efforts.
They, also, are currently supplying relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey (Texas and Louisiana). They have deployed nearly 140 active mobile feeding units, served over 900,000 meals, and provided emotional and spiritual care to over 55,000 first responders and survivors.
Most likely there will be volunteers and staff from West Michigan deployed to support relief efforts over the next several weeks
So, your question is, what can I do, how can I help? The best thing you can do is financial donations. They continue to be vitally important to Salvation Army relief efforts. A monetary gift allows the Salvation Army to purchase exactly what disaster survivors need. And, every dollar you donate is spent on the survivors, 100%!
