Here's another recall to tell you about.  This one could have an effect on your furry kids.  The recall is for some Natura Brand dog foods that have potential salmonella contamination.

Dog foods included in the recall include Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma dry pet foods and treats that expire before June 10, 2014.

At this point, the company is not aware of any complications or sickness resulting from consumption of the food, however the FDA detected salmonella in products made on April 3rd.

Natura said in a statement on their website:

Normally, this would have resulted in retrieval of product manufactured over just a few days. However, we are taking the additional precautionary measure to recall all products in the marketplace. Our first priority is the wellbeing of the pets we serve.

We are truly sorry. We know this news disappoints you; we are disappointed too. Natura will always focus on high-quality ingredients, product safety and innovation in pet nutrition. We remain committed to making products you can trust.
