Before you throw any sausages on the grill make sure they aren't a part of this recall list.

The USDA announced that Johnsonville is recalling over 95,000 pounds of their sausages due to potential contamination.

...may be contaminated with extraneous material, specifically hard green plastic...

This only affects Johnsonville's jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage. They are in a 14-oz package with a "best by" date of 6/09/2019. The sausages were sold all over the country and internationally.

The recall was issued after a customer complained of finding a hard green plastic inside of the sausage. There were no injuries or other reports but the company decided to be on the safe side.

If you have these sausages in your fridge or freezer, throw them out or return for a refund.
