Chrysler has issued three separate recalls to address electrical, airbag and coolant issues, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

One recall affects Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander vehicles (manufactured from 2/11/04-3/9/10 and 1/31/05-3/10/10, respectively).  An issue with the transfer case could cause the vehicle to shift into neutral when using the remote start feature.  Dealers will install a software update for free.

Another recall is for model-year 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 pickups (manufactured 6/25/12-12/12/12).  A problem with the engine cooling system may cause a valve to stick and restrict flow.  Dealers will replace the coolant valve for free.

Both Jeep and Chrysler will start getting in touch with owners in June to schedule service appointments.

The build-date for these can be found on a sticker in the drivers side doorjamb.  You can also call Chrysler at 800-247-9753.
