Baseball is back! The season is off and running, and the Tigers opening day is tonight, Friday, in Cincinnati against the Reds!

The game will be televised on both FOX Sports Detroit and the MLB Network. It also will be broadcast on the Tigers Radio Network, but boy, will it be different. Major League Baseball is about to embark on a season unlike any other. The league will open an abbreviated 2020 campaign of 60 games without fans present at the ballparks (except for possibly the teams in Texas). That means the atmosphere we've all grown accustomed to will not exist. And, all games will be played against teams in their own geographic area due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baseball's first games were actually last night, with the New York Yankees at Washington Nationals, and the San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers.

There is a lot of excitement in the air, and relief that major league sports is back in any way shape or form.

If you're following, and really want to know "who's on first," the Detroit News says here is tonight"s opening day roster.
