Pirates of the Caribbean & Grand Rapids Symphony? Aye Matey!
You're in for another special treat Friday, March 8 through Sunday, March 10 at DeVos Performance Hall. The hall will be full of pirates as the Grand Rapids Symphony plays to the film "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl."
Film buffs know that behind every epic, blockbuster film you’ll find, not only a great script and superlative acting, but also top-notch costumes, sets, designs and musical scores to set the time, place and mood.
Epic franchises such as “Star Wars,” “Lord of the Rings” and “Harry Potter” have lush, cinematic orchestral scores to match the panorama that unfolds on screen.
Grand Rapids Pops’ 2018-19 Popcorn Package winds up the season with its fourth and final film, “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” with three performances next weekend, Friday through Sunday, March 8-10, in DeVos Hall.
