Marijuana could be legal for recreational use in Michigan by the end of 2018.  The Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol has collected over 360,000 signatures on its petition to legalize marijuana, surpassing the 252,523 signatures needed to submit to the Michigan Legislature.

The petitions are being turned over to the Michigan Government today to verify the signatures.  If the verified signatures surpass the needed amount the proposal would go to the legislature to be voted on and if passed, marijuana would be legalized for recreational use.  If the proposal does not pass, or is ignored by the legislature, then voters will get to decide if it should be legalized on the November 2018 ballot.

What do you think about the proposal?  Should marijuana be legalized for recreational use in Michigan.  Vote in our poll.
