Fava Catering Opens in Grand Rapids

Good news if you're a fan of Grand Rapids' restaurants Gita Pita and Char - they are expanding with Fava - A Catering Company.

Owners Khaled Hammad, Abdul Qassem, Adham Kader, and Ramzy Kader say in opening Fava they are hoping to expand their culinary vision by sharing some of the worlds food culture with their dedicated friends and families.

What Kind of Food Can You Order From Fava - A Catering Company?

At the moment, Fava is specializing in Mediterranean food, though the owners say, "Fava Chef Khaled is hoping to let his love of creating food steeped in tradition shine."

Fava's current menu includes Mashwi, which is grilled protein.

You can choose from Kabab (Beef, Lamb, or Shrimp), Kafta (Ground Beef Kabob), Tawook (Chicken Kabob), Deboned Chicken, or Vegetarian (Grilled Vegetables with Falafel).

Salads include Fatoosh, Tabuli, Greek, Caesar, and Yogurt Cucumber.

For sides, you can pick from spicy or mild potatoes, pita bread, hummus, Baba Ganoush, Foul Mudammas (Fava Bean Spread), Parsley Salsa, and Cinnamon Basmati Rice.
