Organizers Have Canceled the 2021 GR Boat Show Due To COVID-19
WOODTV reports that organizers for the annual Grand Rapids Boat Show have decided to cancel the event for 2021 because they're still worried about the safety of vendors, staff, and boat show attendees because of the pandemic.
This year the 2020 Grand Rapids Boat Show was scheduled to happen at DeVos Place from Feb. 17 to Feb. 22. WOODTV says the company that produces the annual boat show, ShowSpan, has had to cancel the other three shows they produce for West Michigan which would be the Michigan International Auto Show, Camper, Travel and RV Show, and Remodeling and New Homes show.
ShowSpan Show Producer and Vice President, Henri Boucher, told WOODTV,
“We remain hopeful that things will begin to look markedly different moving into the spring season. As the vaccine administration ramps up and people continue to follow experts’ guidance, we feel we may be able to execute our late-season shows.”
WOODTV says ShowSpan is still planning to host their West Michigan Home and Garden Show, March 4-7th at DeVos Place.
Fortunately, we can still boat shop online because let's face it, come this summer, we'll all be ready to jump on a boat and enjoy some Michigan summertime.
