Officer Trevor Slot Scholarship Being Offered to Northview Teacher

It was a 2011 bank robbery that ended in tragedy, and it's one that won't be forgotten.

Two bank robbers were killed in a shootout with police officers and the FBI, but not before they had struck and killed Walker Police Officer Trevor Slot.  So sad, and so much pain.Some positive things are happening in memory of Officer Slot.

Family members are honoring his love of reading by offering a scholarship to Northview teachers.

Our news partner, WZZM TV13 has told us the Slot family is teaming up with the Northview Education Foundation to award a $500 Officer Trevor P. Slot Book Lovers Grant to a Northview teacher. The grant is meant for teachers who pass their passion for reading onto students.
