New College Ranking Puts Calvin College Ahead of University of Michigan
A new college ranking system has yielded a surprise in its list of the top colleges in Michigan.
Calvin College ranks number one while University of Michigan is number two.

Calvin College earned a final score of 79.
University of Michigan earned a score of 77.
Rounding out the top ten:
- Michigan State University (69)
- Kalamazoo College (69)
- Hope College (67)
- Grand Valley State University (65)
- Aquinas College (65)
- University of Michigan - Dearborn (65)
- Northern Michigan University (64)
- Adrian College (63)
Note that neither Western Michigan University or Central Michigan University cracked the top ten.
It's an interesting and maybe a controversial way to rank colleges.
