The romantic drama 'The Lost Husband' features the country song, which was written about a bad time in the artist's life.

'The Lost Husband' stars Josh Duhamel and Leslie Bibb, and is based on a book by Katherine Center about a woman widowed and forced to move back in with her mom (we all know what a bummer that could be).

Although the film is set in central Texas, for some reason there's a song called, 'Lake Michigan' by country artist Bob Schneider that pops up in the film. Schneider performs most of the songs used in the movie.

According to his bio on his web site, Schneider was born in Michigan, but it doesn't say where. He was raised in Germany while his dad pursued a career as an opera singer.

Schneider has this to say about the song, 'Lake Michigan':

"1995 was probably the low point of my life. It was the last year of my drinking and, even though I didn’t get into any trouble with the law, I would wake up everyday and not know where I was or what I did for most of the night before. That had gone on for the last couple years of my drinking and it was horrible. I couldn’t seem to stop myself from doing that night after night. It felt like there was no way I could go on.”

Needless to say, it is not a happy song. Here is the official video.
