The College Football Playoff Selection Committee this afternoon announced the inaugural College Football Playoffs field.

-- No. 1 Alabama, the Southeastern Conference champion at 12-1 with a 42-13 win Saturday over Missouri (10-3), vs. No. 4 Ohio State, the Big Ten Conference champion at 12-1 with a 59-0 win over Wisconsin (10-3), in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 2015, in New Orleans.
-- No. 2 Oregon, the Pacific 12 Conference champion at 12-1 with a 51-13 win over Arizona (10-3), vs. No. 3 Florida State, the Atlantic Coast Conference champion at 13-0 with a 37-35 win over Georgia Tech (10-3), in the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual on Jan. 1, 2015, in Pasadena, Calif.
Big 12 Conference co-champions Baylor and Texas Christian finished fifth and sixth in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee final rankings. Baylor (11-1) beat No. 11 Kansas State (9-3) 38-27 and TCU (11-1) beat Iowa State 55-3 on Saturday.
