Two of the most talked-about movies at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah were filmed in Michigan.

"The End of The Tour" was filmed in Grand Rapids. "It Follows" was filmed in Detroit and surrounding communities including Sterling Heights, Royal Oak, and Clawson.

The films are receiving excellent reviews and even early Oscar talk.

Some of “The End of the Tour” was shot in the radio studios and offices of Townsquare Media Grand Rapids, which is home to 100.5 The River97.9 WGRDChannel 95.7Greatest Hits 98.7 WFGR and 1410 AM The Touch.

We've been keeping a close watch on reaction to the film. The movie has gotten excellent reviews and Jason Segel's performance may prove to be award-winning.

"It Follows" is a low-budget horror film which was shot on the east side of Michigan.

Rolling Stone describes "It Follows":

It's got one of the most novel demoniac curses in film history – a malevolent force that manifests as ordinary people walking towards you, purposefully and steadily and unstoppably…until they kill you. It's an unnerving, cinematically inspired idea."

"It Follows" writer/director David Robert Mitchell is a Michigan native. His first feature film, "The Myth of the American Sleepover" was shown at Cannes and SXSW. It was distributed by IFC and received solid reviews.

"It Follows" has already played at Cannes and Toronto Film Festival. The film is getting good reviews:
