Back in February, which seems like an eternity ago, it was announced that TV/Movie star Dean Cain, Superman on TV, was coming to town in June to shoot a movie. Tentatively titled One Life at a Time, the movie would focus on misconceptions of homelessness in West Michigan, working closely with Mel Trotter Ministries. Then, COVID19 struck!

Mel Trotter Ministries just announced that the casting call, originally scheduled for April, rescheduled for this month, May, and been postponed again to June 6, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at ResLife Church (5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418). The movie will be utilizing a few hundred local actors and extras.

A faith based film, the storyline takes viewers on a human journey where the lives of people from vastly different upbringings and socioeconomic status intersect in the most unlikely of places with an historical nod to the man Melvin E. Trotter, in light of the mission’s 120-year anniversary. Mel Trotter Ministries opened its doors in 1900.

Information regarding the movie can be found at meltrotter.org/mtmmovie.
