It's an event that is being called a "Mini Woodstock" and it's happening in Michigan. The Niles Cannabis Festival is set to take place on July 31.

The Niles City Council voted six to two to allow the Michigan Cannabis Festival to move forward with planning for the event in Niles. Council member John DiCostanzo told Leader Publications,

"I think if it’s really good music, and people partying in the park, it’s going to be a lot of fun."

Niles Mayor Nick Shelton said members of different departments of the city were involved in creating recommendations for the event. They included limiting attendance of the event to 500 individuals and the location of the festival to be at Riverfront Park South.

Vehicles will be prohibited from being parked along the roadway to allow for emergency vehicle access. Event organizers will be responsible for providing necessary security staff and all expenses related to the event, which include extra law enforcement officers, additional emergency personnel if needed, electric and water utilities.

The event is slated for July 31 from 10am to 10pm. Tickets are on sale and available here. The description on Event Bright says, "This is a tastemaker event!! We will showcase some of the best cannabis brands in the state, as well as a variety of food vendors and local bands as the soundtrack for the day!"
