Bad news, and good news. Earlier I wrote about the medical problem, (hearling loss) of Huey Lewis and the cancelling of his entire 2018 tour schedule, including the Meijer Gardens. Do not fear as an outstanding performer is picking up the slack.

Michael Franti & Spearhead will be performing at the Meijer Gardens Amphitheater on Sunday, July 8, replacing Huey Lewis & The News. Franti has absolutely killed it in his past Meijer Gardens appearances, so fans are going to be thrilled.

This year’s lineup includes a special show with Alabama on August 23 to benefit the Welcoming the World: Honoring a Legacy of Love capital campaign. All net proceeds from this show will be contributed to the campaign.
