Meijer Gardens Reopening Monday
Hooray! Slowly, our world is opening back up and now you can add The Meijer Gardens to that list!
After almost 3-months of COVID19 closure, the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is reopening this coming Monday, June 8, 2020 at 9:00 am.
It hasn't been easy. Like all cultural organizations, Meijer Gardens has suffered significant losses and it will take years of work to fully recover. At the same time, others have suffered far more. Some people have lost everything to COVID-19. Businesses are permanently closed due to the pandemic and violence. Many people are unemployed. Other extremely important cultural organizations in the core of our city have had to deal with the pandemic and this past weekend with violence.
Meijer Gardens will have new and enhanced safety procedures. There will be extensive signage and wayfinding icons to help people social distance. However, the most important part of complying with the rules and guidelines will be the voluntary help of all visitors.
Due to current social distancing and safety guidelines, certain areas within the main building and outside grounds will remain closed for the time being. For the most current information regarding enhanced safety procedures and a map showing areas that are temporarily closed, visit MeijerGardens.org/COVID
