I don't quite get the whole aspect of the "tell all book" all about mom.  Of course, everyone has their own version of the story.  What's that saying?  "There's your side of the story, my side of the story and the truth."   Nothing is ever one sided.

If I was Martha's daughter, and by the way I grew up with a mother who was also a perfectionist, I would try and understand where she was coming from.

Poet, Maya Angelou once said, "No parent sets out to mess up their kid.  They do the best that they can; and, when they know better, they do better."

I'm sure what the purpose is in exposing someone, except maybe hurt?

At some point when we become adults we have to take responsibility for taking care of our own feelings and emotions and become the person we want to be and that is the person we should be happy and pleased with.

The way I look at it in my own life is this way.  I am not like my mother in so many ways (you could eat off of her garage floor it is so clean).  But, I like the person I became and without my father and mother's input I would not have become that person.

Tell alls about mom are not on my favorite list of things to read.
