If you or someone you know is looking for a job, the State of Michigan is hiring.

According to a Facebook post from Michigan.gov, they're looking to fill critical job openings across Michigan.They say the state offers "challenging work, competitive salaries, great benefits, career advancement and more."

At this time, the State of Michigan is looking to fill 290 positions.

MDOT Transportation Maintenance Worker 6-E8, $17.40 - $24.46 Hourly, South Haven Requirements: Completion of high school. Required level of experience varies by position level - 6: No specific type or amount of experience is required.

Clinical Social Worker $21.79 - $32.60 Hourly, Kalamazoo Requirements: Masters Degree in Social Work.

Child Care Worker $19.20 - $24.57 Hourly, Northville Requirements: Completion of two years of college. Required level of experience varies by position level - 8: No specific type or amount of experience is required.

Information Technology Programmer $27.21 - $39.12 Hourly, Lansing Requirements: Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience.

Elevator Inspector E11 $23.19 - $32.19 Hourly, Multiple Michigan Locations Requirements: Completion of high school. Six years of experience in the construction, installation, repair, or maintenance of elevators, including two years equivalent to a journey-level, elevator, skilled trades worker.
