The victim who is offering the reward tells WZZM-13,

This man needs to be stopped. I am very concerned he has stolen a gun. People know who he is, and he needs to be identified because he has preyed on our community for such a long time. Even though he must realize he’s being video taped and outside lights are on, his boldness is very concerning.

Video of the July 10 break-in was captured by ring camera, which you can watch here.

The City of Kentwood offers the below tips for deterring vehicle break-ins:

  • Lock your car.
  • Completely close car windows when parking. Don't make it any easier for the thief to enter your vehicle.
  • Park in well-lighted areas.  Always be aware and take note of where you are parking.
  • Don't leave valuables in plain view. If you can see them, so can thieves. This includes charging cables that indicate expensive electronics may be in the vehicle.
