Many of us have an American Flag, and we display it proudly.  But, after many years, maybe yours is a bit worn, tattered, or even thread bare.

What do you do with an old flag, anyway.  Out of respect, you don't just throw it in the trash, do you?

Nope!  There is a proper way to dispose of your American Flag, and Kent District Library branches will be happy to help.

From this Friday, June 14 (Flag Day), through Saturday, July 6, all 18 Kent District Library branches will accept them, and in cooperation with local Boy Scout troops, they will be properly disposed of during flag retirement ceremonies.

Now that's a pretty cool and respectful way for you to say good bye to your old flag.
