John Lennon Shot 33 Years Ago in New York

Yesterday it was a head scratcher for me when someone posted "33 years ago, where were you?"

It is sad to say, but I had to Google it. Oh, yeah: the shooting of John Lennon in New York.

About 10 years ago, I was at the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland at the time Lennon's blood-stained glasses were on display. Somber. Sobering.

Here's a video from that day, with Howard Cosell announcing Lennon's death. Strange, but I don't find it all that "compassionate." Then again, it was during an NFL game and it was Cosell making the announcement.
