GM understands the importance of balancing work and play, so they've decided to delay the shift start time to make sure everyone can catch the action-packed moments of the game. The General Motors' Flint Assembly Plant will adjust work schedules this Sunday so everyone can cheer on the Lions. They announced in a statement to local news outlets saying,

"Flint Assembly will adjust the start time for its third shift this Sunday, January 28, so that employees will have the opportunity to watch the Detroit Lions NFC Championship game. We know this is a rare moment in Detroit sports history and we want our team to savor the moment, while still assuring we’re providing our customers and dealers with the trucks they need".

Several screenshots of the notification to employees have been posted to social media indicating the adjusting starting times at the plant and letting workers know that the game is "a rare, unique opportunity that warrants this temporary schedule adjustment to allow employees to enjoy the game...". To say the least, GM is getting some serious kudos for the move.

The winner of the game, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m., will advance to Super Bowl LVIII against the winner of the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.  You can cheer on your Detroit Lions in this historic game catching all the action on the FOX network.
