Unexpected Win: Michigan Man Scores $2M After Random Lottery Pick

But for a 53-year-old Michigan man who chose to remain anonymous his big payday came from buying a random ticket.

The man from Wayne County, Michigan recently took a trip to the Michigan Lottery Headquarters in Lansing to claim his 2 million prize after buying a $20 Legendary Wild Time instant ticket.

He shared with Michigan Lottery officials what led to him buying the winning ticket.

Every once in a while, I’ll buy a lottery ticket and the Legendary Wild Time game was just a random pick that day. I scratched the ticket right after I bought it and didn’t believe it was real when I saw I’d won $2 million! It wasn’t until I called the Lottery and verified my prize that it started to sink in that this was really happening.

The man decided to go with the one time lump sum, which left him with $1.3 million which he plans to do some traveling and saving the rest of it.

This lucky guy isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.
