Zeeland Elementary Students Seeking Donations For World Championship Odyssey of the Mind
Quincy Elementary School in Zeeland is thrilled to announce that a group of its students will be competing in the Odyssey of the Mind world championship. Odyssey of the Mind revolves around creative problem-solving, where teams present their solutions in competitions. What sets it apart? Teamwork is the linchpin.
The remarkable team of five students at Quincy Elementary has been tackling challenges, using wooden pieces that are very similar to giant Popsicle sticks to construct structures under surprise constraints. They have to work together to make it happen, and this team showed up and showed out.
At the state competition, their structure stood strong, earning them a well-deserved tie for second place, all without any adult guidance. Talk about an impressive way to represent West Michigan and Zeeland on the big stage.
Now, they're gearing up for the big stage—the world competition in Iowa from May 27th to 30th. But there's a hurdle: they need your help to make it happen. The school aims to raise approximately $10,000 to cover expenses, ensuring the students aren't burdened financially.
Quincy Elementary is reaching out to local businesses and organizations for support. Every contribution matters! You can also donate directly through the Venmo account (@Quincy-PTO) or by sending a check made out to Quincy Elementary.

We are so proud of what these students have accomplished, and with the community's support, Quincy Elementary can send its talented team to represent the school on the world stage. Good luck, and we're rooting you on!
