Massive Tater Tot Recall Hits Michigan Check Your Bags

You can eat them as is with a little bit of ketchup, or cover them with cheese, chili and mustard and have a tasty meal.

If you enjoy tater tots and have recently purchased some you need to check your freezer to make sure you didn't buy a bag of tater tots that have been recalled by the Food and Drug Administration.

The FDA says that McCain Foods USA Inc. is voluntarily recalling around 38,853 cases of tater tots, including the Ore-Ida Tater Tots and Sysco Imperial Potato Tater Barrel products.

These recalled tater tots are packaged in clear, unlabeled bags and are believed to be contaminated with “clear hard plastic fragments”.

Something tells me even with some ketchup those plastic fragments wouldn't taste too good.

Tater Tots Recalled In Michigan

This recall affects Michigan and 25 other states including Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
