My husband and I absolutely love going to the movies, and we use (and abuse) our Celebration Cinema memberships.

For a small monthly fee, we can see 3 movies a week, and there is rarely a week that we don't see at least 1-2 movies. Anything that's in theaters right now, I've seen and have an opinion on.

And the best part of my membership is that awesome app that Celebration has that lets me pick out my seat and tickets before I leave the house, so I can show up right when the movie is starting and not have to worry about where we're going to be sitting as the previews roll.

But recently, I opened my app to find that Celebration Cinema plans to phase out their mobile app starting on September 5th.

They didn't give a reason, but I'm crushed at the news. Mainly because I think the Celebration Cinema app is my favorite app on my phone right now.

I get it, running an app can be expensive and if people aren't using it a ton, it may not be worth keeping around. But, I'm going to still get down on my knees and scream

PLEASE KEEP THE APP, IT'S MY FAVORITE PART OF MY MEMBERSHIP!

Will it work? Probably not. But, not all hope is lost. You can still sign into your account on your phone or home computer and buy your tickets ahead of time with or without a celebration membership. So, really, it's just a chance of process. Don't panic (like I am.)

I'll just miss that little icon that lets me know it's time to get some popcorn and leave the real world for a couple of hours. Thanks for your service, Celebration Cinemas app. You'll be sorely missed (at least in my household).
