With the kind of winter we've been having, a 50-degree day feels like a reward. You can feel the mood shift across West Michigan! Windows are cracking open. People are outside. The heavy coats are tossed in the back seat instead of zipped up to your chin.

Unlocked Cars Are an Easy Target for Thieves

It is a good reminder that even when you are parked in your own driveway or just running inside for a minute, it is worth taking the extra step to make sure you're not a target.

How to Protect Your Vehicle

A few simple things can make a big difference:

  • Lock your doors every time
  • Bring valuables inside, yes, even the gym bag
  • Do not leave spare keys in your vehicle
  • Make sure home security cameras are working properly

Warmer weather is a welcome change around here. Just do not let that spring-like feeling turn into an expensive lesson.
