When the first deputy showed up on the scene the zebra rammed his cruiser so this was definitely one mad animal. To get the zebra to back off so the deputy could get out of his car he had to hit the horn and siren to scare it off.

According to NBC4, while an emergency crew was tending to the man bitten by the zebra, the animal kept lingering around and began aggressively coming toward emergency workers. The farmer had given the ok to take the animal down if necessary and that is exactly what one deputy did.

The aggressive zebra was protecting his six female friends in the field. The farmer was taken to the hospital and suffered non-life-threatening injuries and will not lose the arm that was bitten by the zebra.
