Kent Count Investigation Leads to Major Muskegon Drug Bust: 3 Arrested, Cash, Guns, 370+ Grams Suspected Fentanyl Seized

The Kent County Sheriff's Office has a message for criminals:

"If you push dangerous drugs and illegal firearms into our communities, we will find you, shut down your operation, and put you in jail."

The warning accompanied a Facebook post from the department breaking down a months-long investigation into drug trafficking in Kent County.

Local detectives from the Kent Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (KANET)  had been tracking the sale of meth, cocaine, and other dangerous substances moving through West Michigan. That trail led them to a pair of homes in Muskegon, where officers executed search warrants alongside WEMET, the Michigan State Police K9 unit, and Muskegon police.

What they pulled out of those houses is alarming. Deputies seized nearly 372 grams of suspected heroin and fentanyl, 71 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of meth, 124 amphetamine pills, and over $19,000 in cash. On top of the drugs and money, they recovered five firearms, including three rifles and two handguns.

Three young men from Muskegon were arrested: Elijah Aguero, 21, Jimarea Jackson, 20, and Tyler Connor, 22. They face heavy charges ranging from firearm possession by a prohibited person to the delivery and manufacture of controlled substances, plus offenses for probation, parole, and habitual offender violations.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office emphasizes that anyone with additional information about illegal drug activity in the area can contact their investigative division directly, through social media, or submit an anonymous tip through Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
