
Halloween Gets a Unique Twist With Planes in West Michigan
Looking for a different sort of Halloween activity for the kiddos this year? While plenty of neighborhoods and organizations host "trunk or treats" in the fall—this is the only one I know of with airplanes!

Trunk or Treat with Airplanes in West Michigan
Trunk or Treat with Airplanes is returning once again to Grand Haven Memorial Airport. This fun Halloween event is October 25, 2p.m. to 4p.m. at the airport at 16446 Comstock St. in Grand Haven.

Pilots and community groups will be handing out candy from the tarmac with planes nearby. Kids can fill up their bags with treats and get a close-up look at some impressive planes! Organizers say it’s a safe, family-friendly event, and they’re ready to “land you with lots of candy!”

The Grand Haven Aviation Association's mission is to promote aviation and the Airpark in the Community, and to improve the Grand Haven Memorial Airpark.
How to Get Involved: Volunteers & Donations
Want to get involved? Organizers say they are looking for donations in the form of unopened bags of candy or monetary donations to purchase the goodies. They're also in need of pilots and community members to serve as volunteers. Reach out to 616-402-8713 if you'd like to participate.
