It's great for a father and son to bond but I'm not sure that breaking into elderly people's homes will create the same memories as maybe going fishing together.

Growing up I was lucky to have a dad who did all sorts of things with me, but it wasn't just the doing, it was the conversations we had along the way that have helped shape my entire life. Many of these things I have been able to pass down to my son and his older brother and someday they will be able to pass those things down to their children.

What got the two men in trouble was a minivan they rented had a GPS device and the owner of the van was tracking their whereabouts when he saw that it had been used at night and stopped randomly in neighborhoods and doing things that violated the rental agreement he repossessed it. He found $10,000 cash, jewelry, coins, and break-in material like gloves, walkie-talkies, a crowbar, and a screwdriver. The owner of the van called police who then located the men in a hotel that was filled with stolen items.
