It’s Friday The 13Th…Oh No!

Oh, horror...it's Friday The 13th!  It's an unlucky day so you'd better watch out!

Do you believe all of that?  Is this an unlucky day?  Will I have bad luck if I spill salt, or if I cut my nails, or do any number of things?

Who knows.  It probably is an non-rational fear.  However, no matter how much you poo-poo it, 17 to 21 million people suffer from a real fear of Friday the 13th.  Some people are so paralyzed by fear that they avoid their normal routines in doing business, taking flights or even getting out of bed. It's been estimated that $800 or $900 million is lost in business on this day.

If you do suffer from "the fear," you're suffering from friggatriskaidekaphobia!

So,  here are some strange things to avoid.....just in case.

-  If you pass a funeral procession on Friday the 13th, you will die the very next day.

-  Cutting your nails on Friday the 13th is a bod omen which can bring seriously bad luck.

-  It's a bad day for new beginnings, so starting a new business on this day will be a disaster.

-  If you leave the calendar page on Friday the 13th, you will be killed by a witch the next day.

-  If you were born on Friday the 13th your entire life will be marked by bad luck.

-  You should never cut your hair on Friday the 13th as it results in a death in the family.
